In this webinar, which will be held on Friday 19th of June, at 16.00 CEST, we will be talking about LoRaWAN technology.
LoRaWAN is a communication technology that paves the way for enormous amounts of IoT data. This technology has the low power consumption required by IoT applications and meets the communication needs to send great amounts of information over long distances.
LoRaWAN has high security integrated in its design, open source and standard use, and the powerful LoRa Alliance ecosystem, which exceeds 500 companies, endorsing it. This allows this technology to have countless applications, from personnel tracking to smart cities, spreading rapidly around the world. Its feature of operating at a frequency that does not require a licence, gives us more examples of all the applications this technology can have, from closed system usage in building/campuses to operator networks that offer subscriptions by covering an entire country
About the speaker:
Alper Yegin is the Vice-Chair of the BoD and the Chair of the Technical Committee in LoRa Alliance, and Director of Standards and Advanced Technology Development in Actility. He has a long track of contributing to development of Internet and telecommunication technologies, including IPv6, Mobile IP, 4G, 5G through engagements in international standards organizations, such as IETF, ETSI, 3GPP, WiMAX Forum.
